The 2026 edition of The Superyacht Technology Show (SYTS) – scheduled for 10–11 March 2026 at the World Trade Center Barcelona – promises to turn heads across the global superyacht industry.
This flagship yacht-tech event is more than a trade show. When yacht owners, captains, engineers and refit teams think “what’s next?”, the Superyacht Technology Show has become the benchmark. It blends high-end tech, real-life demos, sharp ideas and build-phase solutions, bringing shipyards, captains and yacht managers together with valuable opportunities for deal-making, training and sector-wide networking.
I attended the Superyacht Technology Show this year and was impressed by the mix of seminars, new yacht technology and high-level networking for professionals from across Europe, the Mediterranean and further afield.
QUICK FACTS (based on the 2025 show):
- 85% of industry guests discovered new tech
- 85% of attendees would recommend the show to others
- 75% of attendees felt the show was good value for money
- 69% of superyachts represented at the show were 60-metres+
- 55% of attendees were captains, AV/IT officers, engineers or owner’s reps
These figures show why SYTS continues to grow as a key meeting point for the yacht-tech and refit sector.

Here are 10 reasons to attend The Superyacht Technology Show 2026:
1. Broader Scope with Three Halls of Yacht Tech
The Superyacht Technology Show 2026 will span three major halls: Innovation, Discovery, and the new Sea View Hall. This expanded footprint increases visibility for companies representing AV/IT systems, bridge tools, cyber defence, guest-experience tech, propulsion concepts, energy solutions, lighting, sensors and safety technology.
More than 80 companies plan to exhibit with interactive demos and real-world yacht applications. SYTS remains the only independent global event dedicated solely to superyacht technology, not focused on brokerage or charter.
2. A Rejigged Schedule for Crew, Owners and Tech Teams
For 2026, organisers have refined the show’s programme to improve balance between conference talks and stand visits. The TECHTalks stage will feature 16 expert speakers in a TED-style format with a strict “no sales pitch” rule.
Moderator Larry Rumbol will return after a standout performance in 2025. I really enjoyed Larry’s balanced and engaging approach that made technical content accessible to the audience.
This format supports stronger knowledge-sharing around new build trends, refit innovation and evolving maritime regulations.
3. Micro-Pitches Bring Tangible Products & Services to Life
The 2026 show introduces micro-pitches – five-minute live presentations direct from exhibitor stands. I’m not 100% sure how this new concept works yet, but I think the idea is useful for captains, project leads, shipyard teams and managers who want clear insight in minimal time.
Beyond energy systems, engineering or propulsion, the Superyacht Technology Show continues to be a launch pad for AV, acoustics, alternative fuels and guest-experience tech.

4. Eight Networking Events to Build Real Connections
SYTS 2026 enhances its programme with eight networking events, including welcome drinks, lunches and the well-known Atlantis Evening Party.
A redesigned Networking Lounge and smart event app help attendees schedule meetings, scan badges and plan their visit efficiently.
Unlike many yachting events or forums that focus (and charge astronomical ticket prices!) for VIP-only access, this show supports open professional networking, making it easier to form real industry connections and talk business.
5. More Decision-Makers on Site
The show’s Industry Guest Programme has grown by 50%. If you’re a captain, chief engineer, AVI/IT professional, ETO/CTO, yacht interior designer, naval architect, owner’s rep, project manager, shipyard new build or refit lead or yacht manager, you qualify for a complimentary Industry Guest Pass for the 2026 event; you can claim your free pass here: https://www.superyachttechnologyshow2026.com/#/registration?lang=en
For tech firms and service teams, this means face-to-face time with the people who choose equipment, sign off budgets and work at the frontline of fleet operations, refits and upgrades.
6. Early-bird Tickets Add Value for Attendees
The event offers early-bird ticket perks for those who plan ahead. This is a great set up for crew and management teams coordinating travel around yard schedules, refits and charter seasons.
7. Hill Robinson Steps In as Lead Management Company Sponsor
Hill Robinson has been announced as the main Management Company Sponsor for 2026. Its crew, tech and training teams will host talks on site and share real cases from new builds, refits and guest experience.
The firm will also bring a delegation of captains and project staff, adding more weight to the decision-maker mix at the show.
8. Praise from Past Visitors
I will be attending the 2026 SYTS in a media role. Other feedback from 2025 highlighted the show’s strong atmosphere, meaningful connections and focus on genuine solutions. Comments included:
-
“Solves real pain points on board.”
-
“Combines everyone we need to talk to, without everyone else.”
-
“Mind-blowing tech, amazing people and an all-round epic vibe.”
SYTS has fast become a place for exploring, learning and networking with people who decide, implement and specify yacht tech onboard.
9. Future-ready: Tech for Tomorrow’s Yachts
The tech on show points to where yachts are heading. Exhibitors span hybrid drive, remote monitoring, high-grade AV/IT, cyber defence, bridge upgrades and smart systems to improve the guest and crew experience.
For those planning a future build or refit, this is the place to see what is next in the superyacht tech sector.

10. A One-Stop Base for the Whole Yacht Ecosystem
The 2026 show brings together yards, designers, tech firms, managers, crew and technical experts who want to plan yacht builds, install bespoke and integrated systems and lift guest experience onboard.
For me personally, there is always a huge influx of yachting events and boat shows throughout the year – for example just in October there were about 7 shows I could attend within a 6-hour flight of my location here in southern France. As a business owner, attending all these various conferences, forums and shows (and the accompanying travel expenses) has to be worthwhile outside of just networking over a free lunch. This is the value I see with SYTS.
For senior crew, yachts, tech suppliers or yard professionals based in France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom or Spain, the trip to Barcelona offers high value with low travel stress.
Why This Show Matters for the Superyacht Industry
The Superyacht Technology Show serves as a guide to the ideas and technology that will shape the industry now, and in the future. Tech brands can test ideas and with real users. For those in the superyacht tech sector who want sharp ideas, insight and networking without hype, it stands as a key date you need to put in your diary. I’ll see you there!
