Nominee for the Yacht Dame Women’s Yachting Awards 2024

Oct 3, 2024 | Events, Marketing Advice, News, Press

I am thrilled to announce that I have been nominated for the Yacht Dame Women’s Yachting Awards!  My achievements and contributions to the yachting industry have not gone unnoticed, and this nomination is a testament to my hard work and dedication.

The Women’s Yachting Awards honour women who have made a significant impact across the yachting industry. As a pioneering event, these awards not only highlight the excellence and dedication of their recipients but also serve as a beacon of inspiration, showcasing the women who are driving the future of yachting.

So, why does an award like this matter to me ? As a small business owner and mumpreneur, the main reason I launched Antibes Yachting was community.
Businesses felt unheard.
Businesses felt their needs weren’t being met by large marketing agencies.
Understanding that being part of a community – creating a community – meant supporting other businesses without focusing on competition put all the puzzle pieces together.
Secondly, I didn’t want to be an employee working at a company with organisational politics, or a company that everyone was copying.
Thirdly, and most importantly, I want my kids to see a motivated person who has highs and lows because this is normal. Authenticity should not be currency.
A snapshot about me….
I want to keep learning.
I thrive best in positive environments.
I want to challenge conventional ideas.
I work hard to write content that attracts customers and drives people to react.
Here’s 7 ways to keep moving forward:
  1. Consistency matters. You have to be visible regularly – whether online or in person – not just occasionally.
  2. Posting quality content builds authority and trust with your audience, leading to valuable connections and opportunities.
  3. A gigantic number of follower doesn’t guarantee sales.  Don’t believe the hype.  I’ve got clients with less than 1000 followers closing high-ticket deals.  Start posting content today, we all started at zero!
  4. Organic growth wins long-term – not buying robot followers, joining engagement pods or gaming the feed.
  5. Strive to be the best, but understand humility and making mistakes are part of the journey.
  6. Remember the big picture: Constructive feedback focuses on observable actions ,not personal traits.
The judging process begins October 3rd, and the finalists for each category will be announced during Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.   The awards ceremony will take place on November 19th at METSTRADE in Amsterdam, where nominees will celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of women in the industry.

I have got no idea who has nominated for an award – thank you, I am sending you a virtual high five!
